Together with George Singer we designed a generative sculpture for the Fairmont Hotel. The immense structure is almost 60 metres long and consists of 19.879 metallic disks. The shape of the chandelier represents the beauty and energy of the waves in neighboring St. Andrews Bay, and are formulated using wave simulations.
The piece was constructed by hand over a 3 month period. By creating a custom piece of software, we were able to organize all the elements of the sculpture into instructions suitable for manual assembly.
