Photographic Cues

An AI driven exploration by Keziah MacNeill with The New Real

PHOTOGRAPHIC CUES is a project by Keziah MacNeill in collaboration with The New Real commissioned by Edinburgh Futures Institute and Edinburgh College of Art as a part of The New Real Observatory.

This artwork explores the future of the photographic image in an algorithmic age, and brings to view a speculative fictional future in which features of the natural landscape such as the body of water in a Scottish loch are the only remaining form of analogue lens.

Creating a dialogue between artificial intelligence and photographic apparatus the work considers how imaginative case studies may perform as remote discussions towards environmentally benign scenarios.
